So long Miss Reid!!!

Just reading East to Eden (my lovely friend Carly Reid's blog). She is off on her a travelling journey back to Australia tomorrow. We have not known each other long nor have we spent lots of time together, but i can say for sure, she is one of the most kindest, sweetest and beautiful people i know..she is also super good at blogging!!! Fantastic Frome!!!

We have just done a bit of a west country road trip from Badminton to Frome. Staying in Bristol for Badminton horse trials, dropping into beautiful Babbington House for afternoon tea and then onto Bath and Frome. We loved THE COWSHED in Bristol, so much we ate there twice!! Later we stayed in THE ARCHANGEL in Frome, a lovely market town near Bath. On that note the hotel had a lovely large steel bath, so i spent most of our break surrounded by water, drinking white wine spritzers and watching a bit of TV from the bath of course!! Frome had some lovely little shops and boutiques which really inspired me -all be it through their windows, as many had closed for the Easter and Royal wedding break!! We will be back again soon I'm sure

Wellbeing + Happiness

Met and much missed friend for a catch up at Tate Modern today.. We have known each other for years (well since Brownies!!) We don't get to see each other much but when we do catch up its always a heartfelt libran debate... I feel incredibly calm and at ease with life after I've spent time in her presence.
We browsed the beautiful book shop and I found this book. I'm a sucker for a self help book but I'm hoping this is going to be a little different. I'll let you know!!

After reading THE DAILY today we couldn't wait to let you know about some inspirations from London Fashion Week. We love Mary Katrantzou who showed how rooms from different eras could be worn as garments. Curtain pelmets formed rigid shoulder lines, draped curtains moulded around bodices and lampshades became skirts... What a whimsical display!!!

Amazing wedding blog!!

Sorry we have not been blogging recently. We have been very busy running around doing other things and getting samples ready for our photo shoot. Also i have been a little sidetracked by wedding moodboards and planning... having got engaged in July!!! We are just at ideas stage at the moment and I'm very much treating it as a branding exercise?? Eat, Pray, Love - So excited!!!

We have only just finished this book- yes I know just a bit behind...!! The film comes out at the end of September and we simply cant wait. Even the trailer gets us emotional and warms the heart!! If you have not read the book, buy it now!! Its hopeful, inspirational and most importantly displays one woman's journey to find herself and not settle for anything less - Perfect!! Here is one of our favourite quotes from the book - "We gallop through our lives like circus performers balancing on two speeding side-by-side horses- one foot is the horse called 'fate,' the other on the horse called 'free will.' And the question you have to ask every day is - which horse is which? Which horse do i need to stop worrying about because it's not under my control, and which do i need to steer with concentrated effort?"

Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic - New York

On a recent trip to America we came across this beautiful store in New York. Rachel Ashwell best known for the Shabby Chic book has beautiful stores in New York, LA and London. We spent hours roaming this store, feeling inspired and indulgent in the space. We were so tempted to snuggle up on the huge beds and pillows with a good book!! We also loved the chandeliers hanging over cupboard doors - who said they should be hung from the ceiling.
